Cinco de Mayo Tournament

This past weekend the Elite Team had an excellent showing 

at the Cinco De Mayo Tournament.

Southwest Showcase

This past weekend the Elite Boys played hard 

at the Southwest Showcase Main Event.

The boys are improving their team chemistry every game. 

While they went 1 for 4 over weekend. Each game showed 

sparks of what is to come from this team this season.

Area Codes - Easter Classic

This past weekend on March 29th & 30th The Elite Team 

took part in the Area Codes - Easter Classic.

The boys played hard and came up 1 for 3 for the weekend. 

This was their first games of the new season. 

We are looking forward to big things for these boys 

this year, as they start to jell as a team.

Alumni DeWayne Russell Chooses NAU

Russell (#12) repping the Team M'Phasis Jersey 

DeWayne Russell has officially decided he will attend Northern Arizona University (Flagstaff, Arizona) to further his basketball career as well as continuing his education. He was named the Arizona Republic's Big School's Player of the Year for the 2011-2012 high school basketball season. Russell announced Tuesday after school in his high school's cafeteria with friends, family, and supporters watching as he told them all he will be playing college basketball at Northern Arizona.

The 5-foot-10 Russell sparked Peoria to the Division II state championship last season when he led the state in scoring wtih 27 points a game. "I plan on being there for four years, getting my degree and whatever happens from there I'll be prepared," Russell said with family, friends, teammates and coaches surrounding him at an impromptu press conference at the school's cafeteria.
